You need to let the product settle for a minimum of 24 hours before continuing with your exercise regime. This is because exercise will increase your blood circulation which can move the Botox away from the treatment site and reducing its effectiveness. Outside of working out, you should avoid any activity that could be considered strenuous and that could get your heartrate up.

TOUCH THE BOTOX SITE:
You need to avoid rubbing the Botox site to prevent the Botox from moving to unwanted areas. Your face will also be a little sensitive following the treatment, so massaging it might be tempting, but can ruin the entire treatment or cause damage to the area. You should avoid touching the site for the rest of the day, following your treatment.

CONSUME ALCOHOL:
Alcohol is one of the biggest contributing factors for bruising or hematoma’s following a Botox treatment. Because alcohol can cause your blood vessels to dilate, a treated site that was not bruised can suddenly produce a bruise due to the thinned blood. Ideally, you should avoid consuming alcohol for a few days prior to treatment and following treatment to keep bruising to a minimum.

TAKING BLOOD THINNERS:
Upon physician approval, you should avoid blood thinning medication, such as aspirin, for a few days before and after a Botox treatment. The reason to do this is to reduce the chance of excess bleeding and bruising under the skin. If the medication is prescribed by a doctor, you should contact your doctor to find out whether it is safe for you to be off the medication and when you should start taking it again following a treatment.

LYING DOWN:
It can be tempting to take a nap following a Botox treatment, but it is not a good idea. You should not lie down for a minimum of 4 hours following treatment in order to avoid putting pressure on your face. To reduce the temptation to lie down, plan another activity that will keep you upright.

SUNBATHING:
Excessive heat exposure following a Botox treatment can increase redness and swelling as well as dilating the blood vessels and increasing the risk of bruising. Following a Botox treatment, you should avoid sunbathing, tanning, or any heat lamp procedures until all redness and signs of swelling have dissipated.

If you have any questions regarding what you should or should not be doing following a Botox treatment, call us:

Book your BOTOX HARLEY STREET LONDON Consultation today:

Rupesh Shah Aesthetics
12 Harley Street, London, W1G 4PG
rupesh@rupeshshahaesthetics.co.uk
https://rupeshshahaesthetics.co.uk/
Tel: 0207 193 9717
Mob: 07956 576666

Rupesh Shah Aesthetics based in central London’s prestigious Harley Street known for its safety and high quality

Other Recommended Treatments:
BOTOX®
DERMAL FILLERS
CHEMICAL PEELS
DERMAROLLER / DERMAPEN
PRP THERAPY

This is what you should not do following a Botox treatment at our Harley Street Clinic: WORKING OUT: Strenuous exercise of any kind is not a good idea following a…

[1

post-7653","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-uncategorized
["GET
