Born from a passion for boats and a new outlook on life, I left the corporate ladder behind me a number of years ago and took the first steps towards creating a new future, one that would accommodate my skillsets but most importantly one that I can be truly passionate about.
My lineage is engrained in boats. Growing up in Howth, Co. Dublin, I learned to sail Mirrors and Lasers as a child in Sutton Dinghy Club followed by keel boats in Howth Yacht Club. I was fortunate to sail on the ‘Asgard II’ as a young man, shortly before her sinking and on the Irish Navy’s sail training vessel ‘Credine’ for a period. I met my fiancé, Rosie, in 2018 and soon became steeped in the world of canal boats as she was living on a small narrow boat on Dublin’s Grand Canal. Rosies father, Chris, is a renowned boat builder based in North Tipperary, who I have worked with and learned a great deal from.
Having worked extensively on numerous yachts, barges, and river cruisers over the years, I understand the bespoke nature and intricacies of working on boats. I take pride in what I do and enjoyment from exceeding my clients’ expectations.
